Ivinghoe Soaring Association
ISA was formed in the 1970's to represent the many slope flyers who used the slopes and to negotiate with the National Trust on their behalf. (The NT own the land.)
The car park is marked on the map and the slopes are about 10-20 minutes walk to the north. Though when the wind is in the NE there is a convenient slope just in front of the car park. Most wind directions are flyable except SW, though the S slopes can be quite turbulent.
There are over 100 members some of whom travel many miles to the slopes as there are few to the north-west of London. The club also has use of a flat field site at Hockliffe (Bedfordshire) where thermal and electric soarers can be used.
No I.C.power can be used at any club site and no power of any kind may be used on any of the Beacon slopes.
The current Membership Secretary is Michael Hayward whose address is 5 Baskerfield Grove, Woughton On The Green, Milton Keynes, MK6 3ES,(mikehayward.isa@gmail.com).
Club nights are generally on the second Thursday of the month at Edlesborough Memorial Hall, LU6 2HZ.
"Slopehunter" rates ISA as one of the most friendly clubs in the country.

Rivington Soaring Association
Rivington Soaring Association was formed in 1973 and is dedicated to slope soaring radio-control gliders and sailplanes on the Rivington Estates. The Association was originally formed to provide third party insurance for its members and to safeguard the future interests of slope soarers on the Rivington Estates.
The club is located in an area known as Rivington Pike, not far from Bolton, Lancashire, UK, and has three official slopes (though we do fly at other slopes, see 'RSA Official Sites') available to take advantage of different weather conditions - and all affording some wonderful views.
If you are interested in seeing what it's all about why not come along and take a look? Check the 'Where and When' page to see if and where we are flying as we don't have set times and places!
